Цього року Хмельниччина, як і вся Україна, має серйозні виклики у сфері освіти, пов’язані з глобальною кризою, зумовленою пандемією  COVID-19. Разом з тим, навчання та виховання дітей є однією з найважливіших справ у нашому суспільстві.

Можливість покращити навички з англійської мови учням навчальних закладів області пропонується у рамках проєкту «Пілотна програма з віртуальної співпраці із Корпусом Миру США в Україні».

Перспективи впровадження даного проєкту у територіальних громадах краю обговорила голова обласної ради Віолета Лабазюк з провідним експертом з міжнародних проєктів та програм офісу міжнародних зв’язків Хмельницького національного університету Вадимом Басистим. Він, зокрема, повідомив, що викладання англійської мови, а також фінансової грамотності  під час онлайн зустрічей у ZOOM  учнів та викладачів навчальних закладів відбуватиметься з представником Америки, колишнім волонтером Корпусу Миру США в Україні Біллом Олсеном, який має великий досвід з проведення онлайн презентацій з фінансової грамотності для школярів 8-11 класів та студентської молоді по всій Україні.

Віолета Лабазюк зазначила, що з метою покращення комунікативних навичок неабияку роль у вивченні учнями іноземної мови відіграє безпосереднє спілкування з носієм мови.

«За нових реалій ми все більше переходимо до дистанційного навчання  у школах та закладах вищої освіти, тому співпраця з колишнім волонтером Корпусу Миру США в Україні Біллом Олсеном є корисною і необхідною для школярів та викладачів англійської мови в освітніх закладах», – зазначила голова ради.

Отож, впровадження віртуальної програми розпочнеться у навчальних закладах чотирьох пілотних територіальних громад. Після успішного втілення проєкт «Пілотна програма з віртуальної співпраці із Корпусом Миру США в Україні» запровадять у інших територіальних громадах.

Зустрічі відбуватимуться з використанням програми Zoom. Координуватиме  планування та організацію  зустрічей з Біллом Олсеном програмний менеджер Корпусу Миру США в Україні.

Упродовж чотирьох місяців цього року презентації Білла Олсена у форматі відеоконференцій відвідали більш ніж 400 школярів та студентів з усієї України.

Дана програма є безкоштовною, вона дає можливість не лише покращити розмовну англійську та отримати навички з фінансової грамотності, а й  встановити тісні зв’язки з Корпусом Миру США в Україні.

На сьогодні проєкт успішно зпілотовано в місті Хмельницький – у технологічному багатопрофільному ліцеї ім.Андрія Мазура та бібліотеці-філії № 10 Хмельницької міської бібліотечної системи.
