7 грудня відбувся брифінг Максима Степанова щодо запровадження карантину в Україні у зв’язку з поширенням коронавірусної інфекції.
Максим Степанов повідомив, що МОЗ пропонуватиме уряду запровадити жорсткий карантин із початку січня терміном на три тижні. Вводити повний локдаун до кінця грудня немає необхідності, оскільки медична система країни наразі витримує навантаження.
Однак, наприкінці січня очікується значне збільшення навантаження на медичну систему, оскільки до коронавірусної хвороби додасться зростання захворюваності на грип. Саме тому до цього періоду необхідно підготувати систему і підійти з мінімально можливими цифрами щодо захворюваності на COVID-19 і госпіталізації.
Також міністр охорони здоров’я України зауважив, що згідно з медичними і епідемічними показниками, запроваджені в країні протиепідемічні заходи дають свої результати, зокрема карантин вихідного дня. Цього тижня майже щодня фіксується менше нових випадків інфікування, порівнюючи з попереднім. Наприклад, станом на сьогодні виявлено майже на 1 тис. хворих менше, ніж минулої п’ятниці.
